The Thing From The Future is an imagination card game for 1-6 players created by Stuart Candy and Jeff Watson at situationlab.org. The object of the game is to use the cards to generate the most interesting, funny or thought-provoking ideas for artifacts from the future.
In this round, the concept we generated was “Map to Party Planet.” I took the concept further by creating a series of GIFs illustrating a future where an autocratic regime favored corporate interest and suppressed basic freedoms. Despite adversity, the people found ways to share the coordinates to a better world.
